Whether you are an experienced racer, a family looking for a healthy outdoor hobby, or a young person eager to learn the ropes, Cotswold Sailing Club (CSC) offers a special, member-led environment in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park.

About the club

For over 50 years, CSC has remained a member-owned, volunteer-led, and family-focused club. Our purpose is simple: to promote the sport of dinghy sailing in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. When you join us, you aren’t just a member; you are part of a community that takes pride in its club, from our dedicated “Thursday Crew” maintenance volunteers to our vibrant social committee.

Sailing for Everyone

  • Families: We pride ourselves on being a “family-focused” club where all generations can enjoy the water together. Our facilities include a fully equipped clubhouse and family-friendly social events like our annual Regatta.
  • Young People: Our Junior Fleet is thriving, with nearly 20 juniors participating in coaching weekends, Interclub Regattas with other local clubs, and even competing successfully against adults in our general racing fleets.
  • Single Members: Whether you are looking to hone your racing skills or enjoy a quiet solo sail, our “vibrant and successful” community ensures you’ll find like-minded friends on and off the water.

Our Home: Lake 9

Located at Lake 9, Cerney Wick Lane, our club offers a beautiful and tranquil setting for sailing.

  • Unique Features: Explore our islands—including “Flag Island” and “Windsock Island,” home to our resident observers, Lion and Liquorice the goats.
  • Excellent Facilities: We offer a well-maintained boat park, a clubhouse with a member’s kitchen, and ongoing investments in new lakeside safety boat facilities and slipways.
